I read a lot of people are saying mean things about them on YouTube. I honestly can't believe those people are so ignorant. Oliver invaded their privacy and René was threatened not to see his daughter ever again. Also Dinah had every right to want to kill Laurel (but Curtis had to be a horrible friend and stop her from doing it). Oliver, Diggle and Felicity were the idiots in my opinion in season 6 and not them

I've been thinking about the Arrow series, specifically season 7 and how Oliver's character was portrayed well, I feel, at the end.
After getting out of prison, he is given the option to join the police force or stop his crusade. He says he'll join, but on his very first mission with the department, he outright disobeys the department's orders. Him and the team don't even really give it a second chance. They just quite, which I thought was poor storytelling...
Anyway... My question, in regards to this scenario is, what would have happened had Team Arrow joined and perhaps successfully operated from within the department? Could there have been good consequences that would have come from their actions, for Stat City? And for any other vigilante/superhero, how would they joining the police department play out?
(Think Batman, Superman, the Flash, etc)
