James Gunn confirmed that everything released before Creature Commandos premieres on Max next year and Superman: Legacy comes out on theaters is not canonical to his and Peter Safran's D.C.U. As such, Blue Beetle is not part of the new franchise's timeline, even though Xolo Maridueña will keep playing him in it. They're just part of the D.C.E.U. As such, the "faint memory" of the events of both The Suicide Squad and season 1 of Peacemaker never happened in the D.C.U. either. Just wanted to clarify that for all of you.
