So I’ve been jumping back into DC again and wanted to see how the continuity is doing. So I’m under the impression everything is canon? It seems DC has written 3 stories in the last couple years saying “everything is in continuity don’t worry about it.” If any super fans can help me out on the comments to explain it to me, I’d greatly appreciate it!
The Three in Question:
Convergence: At the end of Convergence it seems all old multiverses are back outside of the current 52 worlds that’s mainly focused on.
Doomsday Clock: So everything is canon now, even pre crisis, to the main line of comics? The way it seems is everything is canon time just shifts to accommodate the current publishing era.
Death Metal: It’s now stated “eh don’t worry about it, all the proverbial ‘walls’ are gone.” Does this mean there’s not a multiverse? No more “52 Worlds?” Also I heard there’s another world called Elseworld, I haven’t read Death Metal, but do not care about multiversal related spoilers just so I can get my head around this.
Anyway, if anyone can help me understand this I’d appreciate it, this will give me motivation to jump back in, haha!
