The DC animated universe began in 1992 with Batman the animated series. The show ran from 1992 and ended in 1995 the Superman the animated series began in 1996 with Batman the series getting revived in 1997 however, Batman beyond was the last of the Batman animated trilogy, but the show was canceled for being too edgy and too, Gothic with metal music and punk and Goth aesthetics. The justice league was the last show, but it wasn’t just that there was a show called static shock which was based on the milestone comic book of the same name , which wasn’t a part of the DC universe the superhero genre became very popular amongst this universe in 2006 the DCAU reached a climax, but was replaced with new universes such as the DC animated movie universe, and the Young Justice universe
