This year 2021 we got two animation movies from Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms and Injustice. Both received mixed reviews from critics and fans. Mostly from Injustice with felt rushed so many elements into the movie rather than multiple partners or a trilogy that would be a good choice to do. Both films have the same art style and design; they look similar. It makes sense it was made by the same team who created both movies, so why not WB did like a crossover between DC and Mortal Kombat.
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe In 2008 and Three MK dlc characters in the last two injustices, even Joker in Mortal Kombat 11. And DC not strangers will come to crossovers not talking about like crossover events or crossover episodes. I meant to talk about when it came to other companies' properties from other Warner Bro libraries of IP or other studio’s or comic companies. It is not offered on this day’s crossover. It just happens that when it comes to comics, look at “The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans” didn’t except when this ever got adapted due to different companies who are in competition with each other not only streaming but rights in distribution and much important share profits of money. It is rare to see a DC Comic. Unlike say Marvel. DC is open to ideas and experiences something new with their characters.
Look at Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Now about Mortal Kombat vs. DC unlike those two films this one b rated-r. If making WB make Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe rating PG-13 is bad, not good choice again Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe In 2008 when this first Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe was rated for t that equivalent to PG-13 in gaming. Back then in WB didn’t want their characters beating blood or performing brutal finishers on heroes or villains but with streaming services like HBO Max we saw more content form DC then marvel. Executives over Warner’s Bros always want more of that DC content literally pushed out more animation series and movies then ever. Think adapting Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe into a film is a good idea if you’re got the right story and direction. Three films (Scorpions Revenge, Battle of the Realms and Injustice) that are acclaimed are the worst , not the animation but the story . I think that is where Mortal Kombat vs. The DC Universe starts and sets the tone. What should be not too serious or too comedic may be the middle line.
For the story itself well basically Netherrealm force’s invasion by opener to Earthrealm but this not the same Earthrealm it instead alternate earth (Earth-1 where that Superman came from injustice movie). What remains is Shao Kahn's allies and generals who now sided with Shinnok to conquer the DC universe. Justice League are (earth-1) met earthrealm championship. Justice League traveled to different realms like Outworld and Netherrealm in order to thwart Shinnok his plan’s merging both universes (this followed loose to plot of game). Imagine Batman taking up against Scorpion or Sub-Zero Vs. either Mr. Freeze or God Vs. God. Jokes between Harley Quinn and John Cage are comedic humor. About having Black Dragon teamed-up with Joker or Deathstroke (from Earth-1) that would be amazing to see that. With recollection events from previous films to fresh out one of both universes.
What you honestly thought. Do you’re want seen Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe adaptation into a crossover film? Just imagine DC heroes crossing over to a new realm beyond their own earth.
