I realize that within the past few years, there's been such a lack of variety in recent DC games. Like ignoring the lack of quality of the most recent games because that's a separate rant, the lack of variety is what I'm upset about. All the companies WB has under its belt and they haven't really done anything good or interesting with the IP since Injustice in 2017.
Like it's obviously very cool that both DC and Marvel is able to deliver on strong, single player story focused games in the vein of the Arkham Games, Insomniac Spider-Man, and even Guardians of the Galaxy, but if you're looking for variety besides that, you'd find little luck on the DC side of things.
Multiversus did something new which was having DC heroes in a Smash-like game which I was really into, but with it being a WB IP game not a DC game, you only got the surface level characters like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn. The lego games count for something... if you still have PS3 or Xbox 360.
It just seems like nowadays, the only thing WB Games knows to do with the DC property is make uninspired live service gimmicky slop or go back to Batman games.
And to add insult to injury, Marvel is making games not just with good quality, but VARIETY. With them, you've got the usual AAA story games but also an X-Com like card based strategy game with roleplaying (Midnight Suns), a hero shooter (Marvel Rivals), and they most recently introduced a 2D beat 'em up called Cosmic Annihilation. So if one game genre isn't your cup of tea, you have a bunch of others. And I get it, it's because they license their games but could you really see WB games publishing any of this? They have a bunch of studios themselves and could've easily had one of their own developers developing quick, non-AAA games like Cosmic Annihilation or Midnight Suns but nothing creative has been done at all.
I'd love to see new creative DC games that explore a non-traditional genre of games. Imagine a Unreal Tournament or Quake 3 type game but for DC Heroes and Villains as champions fight for death-match games, or retro 2D a top down Justice League game, or a Justice League Dark turn based RPG, or a freaking Injustice 3 with new and old DC heroes or villains.

It feels like a prelude to A.O.L. Time Warner Bros. Discovery Entertainment Media mucking things up again, just as they've already done with the D.C.E.U. Personally, I'm willing to give Gunn and Safran's D.C.U. the benefit of the doubt. But if things are cocked up again, then D.C. should just give up on an interconnected universe franchise, let alone live-action films, altogether. It's as simple as that. And after seeing this article earlier today, I'm on pins and needles right now. The folks at Warner really have let their paranoia and cowardice get to their heads.

What skins do you want Batman to receive in Multiversus?
I like Tim Burton's and the Batman Vs. Superman armor
Now don't get me wrong, I am really excited for Batman and it looks like a masterpiece. But WB has already started production a GCPD series in Reevesverse, which will be set during the first year of Batman's operations ( ala Gotham 2.0) and a Penguin series. They have also stared pre-production for a Catwoman series.
Just today, a prequel novel for the Batman was announced to be releasing in Feb, depicting Batman's rise. Doesn't it seem a bit overstuffed for just two years of Batman already ? Considering the movie isn't even out yet ?
