It just now occurred to me, and I have to share: Being a member of the Justice League has to be a living hell.
As fans, we enjoy reading about the Justice League in comics, watching them on tv. I'm sure the writers enjoy writing about it, too.
But picture yourself as a superhero who just joined. Your life is now being scrutinized. Every little thing you do is judged based on how it makes the League look. Your superheroics are now wrapped up in red tape of what you can and can't do. You are in a nightmare of bureaucracy, and your stress and anxiety levels are increasing ten fold. This is your life, and you can't leave without the public wondering "Why did they quit? Or were they kicked out? Are they causing problems?".
At least Batman is using the system. "I'm going to use your resources to help catch criminals, you can call me for help and maybe I'll come if I have nothing else to do, but I'm not joining you as a member."
He gets it.
Sorry if this topic is an old discussion, I just now thought of it today. I'm new :p
