So I just finished watching season 2 of Supergirl and I have to say the writing of the show leaves a lot to be desired. Am only going to mention a few points here so bare with me
#1. Season was just bad (except episode 18).they wanted to make the show about supergirl and that's okay but they kept referencing everything she did to her famous cousin, superman is mentioned in each and every episode of the season and yet we never saw him.
#2.Clark had always been burdened by the thought of being the last son of krypton and so you'd think he'd want to spend as much time with his cousin as possible... So where is he?
#3. Let's not even talk about the poor dialogue.
#4. Season 1,DEO was in a secret location in the desert, why change it to a skyscraper in the middle of the city? For a secret agency that's poor location why not just leave it in the desert?!
#5. It's been mentioned a few times in the comics that superman is stronger than supergirl so how is he easily defeated by his cousin the way he was at towards the end of the season 2? And on top of that I feel superman has got the strongest willpower of any justice league member (maybe a controversial point considering Hal Jordan) he fights beings far stronger than he is and wins due to sheer will to protect Earth and his loved ones.. Look at his fight with Doomsday, he defeated the justice league but through sheer willpower to protect Earth and Lois Superman defeated Doomsday albeit at the expense of his own life, so how does he easily say Kara will fight on behalf of earth against aliens that threaten to invade earth?? Where is his fighting spirit?
#6. When James Olsen comes out and says he is the vigilante Guardian to Kara, she's opposed to that and practically bars him from fighting crime (which obviously didn't work). Now who is she to say who should be a hero or not. Her point was it's because Jimmy is human and can easily get hurt, that's poor writing from the writers coz even her own sister is human and fights crime,cops are human and they fight crime, and worse off, she was just coming from Earth 1 where she was fighting aliens alongside other human heroes who don't have powers (Oliver and his team and the Legends) so how can she say Jimmy can't fight crime coz he's human... Poor poor writing from the team
Am yet to watch season 3,beginning it now, hope it's better than what I've been watching coz supergirl (TV show) so far is not exciting AT ALL!!
