I think 10 is my favorite. What's more interesting than the suit to me is that every one of these Superman drawings has a different face, which I think is pretty accurate to the different ways Superman has been characterized over the decades.
I will agree with that. The joke may definitely be in poor taste, but it doesn't make the person who made the joke a bad person. It just means the joke is in poor taste.
Doctor Light developed a reputation for sexual assault. It was a bad idea to begin with.
That line ain't right, man. Thad Sivana is supposed to be a better class of super-villain than that. He ain't Emil Gargunza.
Birds of Prey (Or, the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn)
BvS
Zack Snyder's Justice League
Man of Steel
Wonder Woman 1918
It's bad for Marvel, it's bad for Star Wars, and it will be bad for DC too.
Dick Malverne was introduced in 1959, the same year as Supergirl. Jerro was introduced in 1960, and Brainiac Five was introduced in 1961. All three were immediately positioned as potential romantic interests for Supergirl. They also all pre-date Comet the Super-Horse, who was introduced in 1962.
An adult Supergirl dating a young adult Flash or adult Kid Flash isn't inconceivable or anything, but it's definitely not a "classic" romantic partnership.
Is Engineer going to be in the movie? I'm most excited, and most anxious, to see her then. I think The Authority is by far the most interesting element of the upcoming film slate, and also will absolutely be the easiest to fuck up really badly.
What do people not understand about the public domain? The public domain will NOT ruin Superman, Batman, etc. DC will still have a 96 year head start on everyone else. Its version of the characters will not go away. You fear a mean-spirited horror subversion of the character? Dude, we already have one. It hasn't ruined anything.
Anyway, I enjoy most DCEU movies. MoS, BvS, WW, ZSJL, Aquaman, Birds of Prey, Black Adam, I like all those.
I think it's already being rebooted and Aquman 2 is a last hurrah.
Vic Sage, but not Charlie Szasz.
Underrated. It's got a lot of things to say about imperialism and military occupation and revenge and violence and it moves at an absolutely breakneck pace. Maybe my fifth or sixth favorite DCEU film? I wish it had been a success and gotten a sequel.
Honestly, just Tim Drake as Robin.
Many of the others should stick around, but none of them should interact with Batman super frequently. They all ought to meet him much less often than Superman, for example. Dick Grayson should probably interact with Batman about the same frequency as Superman.
Darkseid is a New Gods villain. Dislike DC treating him like exclusively a Superman villain or a Justice League villain. Luthor and Brainiac are great, 'nuff said. Toyman is legitimately underrated.
I think my actual underrated fave is The Yellow Mask, who was in the early radio show and never made his way to the comics.
The Conner Kent / Cassandra Sandsmark / Tim Drake triad polycule.
I think the multiverse always should have had infinite Earths, and any time a writer created a new world for a story, they should have to pick a wholly unused number. There's no reason at all why there should be like three Earth Tens or Earth Twelves, or ten Earth Ones.
Luthor is one of the most inconsistent characters in DC. There are versions of Lex I would consider dating, and then there are versions of him where dating them would result in getting murdered and replaced by a sickly clone.
We make it a point to watch Comfort and Joy every year!
DCAMU covered a lot of ground, but the suit pictured, the one from the end of Reign of the Supermen and the beginning of Apokolips War, is based on the Reborn suit, which is my favorite Superman costume.
My Adventures isn't polling too well, but I like that one a lot too. I like the unorthodox chest emblem.
Gaiman is fantastic and all, but Sandman Mystery Theater is one of my favorite takes of all time on the pulp hero genre, so I'll go with Wes Dodds.
That second costume will will be Bronze Age, not Golden Age. It was created in 1976.
