I’d say you could argue that the big five are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern. With Flash and GL definitely being 4 and 5 respectively.
Matt McGinnis too becomes Terry’s Robin
Yeah neither of these. But Darkseid is stronger than Zeus.
All the We Are Robin characters are technically Robins. Duke Thomas is also Batman’s Robin in Future’s End
Harley Quinn
I mean I’d say start with Face the Face at the most and then go right into Batman and Son. JLA and Infinite Crisis aren’t that necessary to the Morrison story. I guess you could read The Under the Red Hood storyline if you want just to get an idea of the state of Gotham at a whole before 52 happens, but even then I think you could just start with Face the Face(even though it’s not Morrison) and that would give you pretty much all the background you need for to prepare for Morrison’s run.
The 2014 edition of Batman and Son would take you right to the Resurrection of Ra’S Al Ghūl
I’m half Jewish, my family is from Romania however the people that I am ethnically descended from are not ethnically the same as Romanians, it’s Eastern European Jews. So from an ethnic standpoint, yes you can be a quarter Jewish, religion wise you either a follower or not. My question is more ethnicity motivated than religiously. Obviously Batman isn’t a practicing Jew but that could it could still change his ethnic background.
I guess what I’m really trying to understand is wether Jacob Kane’s Jewish background is just religious and he’s a convert to the Jewish religion, or if it’s from his family’s ethnic background.
Do you mean just the JSA or the characters on pictured in this photo specifically
Does anyone know how Judaism was introduced into the Kane/Wayne family? Kate Kane and her father Jacob are Jews but I’ve seen some sources claiming that Gabi, Kate’s mother, is the one that’s Jewish and Jacob converted when he married her, and that he and his daughters still carries on the tradition even after her death to honor her memory. And I’ve seen other sources that say the Kane family is of Jewish decent, which would make Martha Wayne Jewish as well, in turn making Bruce half Jewish as well from his mother’s side, and his children a quarter Jewish.
Has there ever been a definitive answer to this question?
I was also more talking about Adam Blake as a solo act. I really liked him in Secret Society of Supervillains in 1976 and Mystery in Space and Rann-Thanagar
^
Also Captain Comet, forgot about him
Green by default. But I thought the Star Sapphires had some really awesome stories during Geoff Johns’ time.
I guess it’s gotta be Hal Jordan if I had to pick one. But I like the Darkstars, the L.E.G.I.O.N./R.E.B.E.L.S., the Omega Men, The Forever People; DC does cosmic teams better than marvel, that’s a hot take of mine.
I remember Michael Dorn, he was only in a few episodes though and if someone isn’t a huge fan of Star Trek and Superman TAS then I wouldn’t blame anyone for not caring anyway. 20 years ago I’d say Michael would be a fantastic choice to play a live action John Henry Irons(surely better than Shaq for God’s sake). However, he’s not a writer so it’s just an interesting choice.
Paul Dano, Michael Dorn, Nicole Maines. Is there a reason, or is this just an insane coincidence that actors who played the characters that the comics are about are now writing said comics?
Well that might be true, but it doesn’t mean it’s an accurate-to-the-comics adaptation of the character of Aquaman. Regardless of what audiences are most familiar with. Not sure what you mean about stereotypes
I’m good with any actor that’s willing to actually act, and emulate the character of Arthur Curry, instead of changing the character to be more like the actor is in real life, to me that’s not acting that’s self promotion. If Alexander Ludwig would take the role seriously then I’d be all for it, he’s great in everything I’ve ever seen him in.
I’m excited for Aquaman to be recast, I hate that they made Aquaman more like Jason Mamoa instead of having him actually act like Aquaman
@ElongatedJ i agree. I feel like she can be more of a “Catwoman” to Team Arrow because she’s Ollie’s wife or Girlfriend. But she’s a legacy hero through and through and will always make any of the League or Society better by being a part of it. The birds of prey are also her and Barbra’s team so it wouldn’t make sense if you wasn’t on the team honestly. I also am a big fan of her as a solo hero I think she’s interesting enough that she can hold her own by herself
