So am i the only one who is completley okay with a jarro solo series? I mean im obviously not talking about some 100 issue run but i feel like the character has alot of things that could appeal to a younger audience heck you can make it about him training to become the best robin ever but things go wrong (in comedic ways obviously)

I always thought i would hate to be superman because of the priorties that would be set before me i mean not just fighting evil monsters but i would fly over while some guy changes his tire and next thing i know i most likley would get a bunch of backlash saying im a d#ck because i didnt stop and help this guy right away thats just my thought process
@Frans Beder i would assume something more in line of how the squirrel girl comics are presented in terms of he meets the villians but they dont want to harm him because he's to adorable and cap it off with someone like deathstroke showing up and not caring heck he could be someone who takes out z list villians like condiment king or something nothing dark and gritty obviously thats just my take i thought i would be the only one who would love to see jarro

@Tupka217 yeah i wouldnt mind seeing someone like calvin ellis being in a movie because there is alot of untapped potential characterwise and could satisfy both sides of the fans who dont want the character changed just because and the fans who would like to see a black superman
@Tupka217 im aware there have been in the past and i would love to see those versions incorporated i meant more like try not to replace the main line clark kent in the dceu with a black superman just so you can cheer and say hey we did it first
Alot of the time when companies do that it comes off as really forced and kinda insulting to a certain extent (because apparantley its a formality yes i am a minority and yes i do feel this way last time i tried to explain my side i was called a white privledged racist just because i didnt defend "representation")
@Adekis i see where your coming from but i remember seeing people call for an african american superman movie for the upcoming flash movie (which is supposed to be rebooting everything) and ive never been a huge fan of making white characters different races just because or even vice versa just seems like pandering to the lowest common denominator but i also was aware of calvin ellis as a character and wouldnt mind the character getting his own film down the line due to him being superman but still being a different character altogether thats just my reasoning for it but i could definitley see a red son situation where he means well but is going about it in the wrong way

So quick question would you as fans of dc movies actually go see a calvin ellis superman movie? i mean its superman sure but outside of a basic summary what would the story truly be? would this bomb idea wise or would this start a whole new franchise? im genuinlally curious (however you spell that) what other fans would think
So in the new 52 run its no secret that superman honestly kinda sucked however one of the bright spots was the men of tomorrow storyline.
For those that do not know the storyline is where an earth child (goes by the name Ulysses) is sent off to another dimension due to his parents believing earth is gonna be destroyed he get powers very similar to superman's and when he finally arrives on earth which he believed to be destroyed (not trying to spoil things any farther i recommend the read though highly enjoyable)
My question is Would this ever work in a animated setting or even a live action setting and how would they go about the story?
Outside of the batman and catwoman titles i havent seen any others what one shots are you talking about?
@ScavengerOne Yeah, I mean, they hyped him up as a huge part of the Joker War, and with it ending in possibly the next issue he has only had maybe four or five pages of just him, and not so much as even a mention in the last issue. I just hope he doesn’t drop down to a c-list character with no real development.

What happened to Clownhunter?
I mean, they showed him once or twice now, and that’s it, not even side comments. The last I heard about him was that the Joker sent his guys out to deal with him, and they haven't said anything about him in I believe two issues.

@ScavengerOne i meant more so when other universes say like the ultimate line for marvel was made they have a clear cut purpose but no one ever really talks about the targent universe
What exactly was the point of this universe? I’ve been meaning to read up on it, but I can’t wrap my head around the purpose of its existence.

@MektonZ thanks i appriciate your imput and condolances yeah i thought it was bad but my brothers wouldnt let me change it so i had to watch that horrible movie but after that the original tim burton batman came on and i fell in love with the character later borrowing the batman the animated series from the library (mark hammil is still the best joker) fell in love with the character's and later playing the arkham games all the while slowly building up a collection of comics (most were lost in a flood sadly) but i could not get into superman no matter how hard i actually tried outside of kingdom come and smallville and even something like all star superman. i thought he was boring i mean what does a literal god have to complain about (that was my thought process)
I will admit i think that more creators picked up on the idea of what does a god have to complain about
American alien is a good example due to the fact that clark truly doesnt know how strong he is and always holds back so when he finally faces someone that can hurt him (lobo for the win) he has to rely on his spirit
Idk again i want to enjoy the character but i have trouble with most iterations due to him feeling really underpowered or really overpowered
@Anotherbatmanfan Yeah ive never been a huge fan of superman (my first time seeing superman was the quest for peace on the syfy channel as a kid) but ive been getting more and more into the comics of alternate realities ex) kingdom come ,american alien, earth one, smallville
But i keep hearing how bad the superman comics from the new 52 are and im genuinly intrested if thats true at all

So is this title worth actually checking out or is it as bad as people say i mean i personally love the new 52 batman and the flash and green latern are probably more intresting than they ever have been but i see superman gets consistently hated on would the title be worth it
