I am annoyed with how much DC is pushing Harley Quinn in mainstream but I’m more annoyed about how they use her as opposed to how much they use her. Like they just want her to be Deadpool so badly. However, I am more annoyed with how much they use Joker. I mean I know he’s Batman’s arch-nemesis but he has that whole catalogue of villains and Joker is the only one you guys can think of as a serious threat? I was honestly so happy when I found out they were using Riddler as the main villain in The Batman (2022), he deserves love too.
The way DC is underutilizing Wonder Woman compared to the way they use Batman and Superman is honestly despicable. She’s literally 1/3 of the Trinity with them. Also why did Harley Quinn and Kite-Man of all people get an animated series before her?
There was no reason to age up Jon Kent.

@Arise Etrigan okay well probably not literally a person but what if there was an entity amongst The Endless that embodied Nothingness and since that can’t be personified, literally nobody knows of their presence or is even capable of perceiving them.
O just thought about this and what if there was an 8th member of The Endless that nobody knows about, probably not even The Endless themselves? Not only that but if there was, I think I know who it is.
I believe that this 8th member could be called Devoid of The Endless, also known as None.
This being is the personification of nothingness is the most powerful member of The Endless. Nobody is stronger than them, all of them would be second to None.

I clicked bad but I meant to click okay. I thought it was a fun movie, but I didn’t like some of the story choices, the CGI and movement was a little weird at times, and they couldn’t be consistent with the DCEU timeline.
I haven’t seen Flash or the new Shazam yet but it has to be a tie between either Suicide Squad 2016, Wonder Woman 1984, or Josstice League
I feel like the only things that carried Suicide Squad 2016 for me were most of the casting, soundtrack, costume designs, and Harley Quinn. Other than that, I feel like they tried way too hard to make it a quirky superhero film like Guardians of the Galaxy, especially in the trailers. The jokes just didn’t land and they would’ve been better off with the original tone which was more serious, which is why I’m really interested in seeing the Ayer Cut.
For Wonder Woman 1984, I feel like the things that I liked were the casting, costume designs, the 80s setting, and most of the choreography. Even though I would’ve preferred if they put a battle skirt on it, I loved the winged armor. I also loved Cheetah’s design and I like what they did with the costumes showing the cheetah print in the outfits similar to Cheetah’s original design in the comics and then her furry Cheetah form just like in the comics and I loved the 80s outfits. However one of the first bad things I noticed was the CGI and some of the choreography. There were a lot of moments (especially in the mall scene) where even though it’s a superhero movie with a character that defies the laws of physics, I can clearly see moments where I’m thinking to myself “I don’t think people are supposed to move around like that if a super strong person threw them around” or “I don’t think the Lasso of Truth is supposed to move like that”. I also didn’t like some of the story choices. They unnecessarily made Steve Trevor possess someone instead of giving him his own body and then made Diana sleep with the possessed man 😬, they couldn’t be consistent with the rest of the DCEU timeline and gave Diana abilities that she never shows in the other movies like when could Diana fly and use magic?? I only remember Diana flying one time in the first WW movie and it was more like levitation and it was more like super jump in the other movies. I feel like they could’ve handled Cheetah’s a little better. Like when she first got powers, it made sense because she simply wished to be like Diana but then I got confused when she got her final form. What did she mean by “I wanna be an apex predator”? Did she intend on being a cheetah furry? Also why did they try to convince us that she was becoming a villain when she beat that guy up? He literally deserved it, he was preying on her and harassed her twice and she defended herself. Also how did Maxwell Lord know that the Dream Stone was going to work? Like it seemed like he spent a lot of time looking for some mystical stone that may or may not work instead of actually trying to save his business. Also why was his first wish to become the stone? Couldn’t he check if it actually worked first? Plus that wish could’ve gone awry very easily. But I do think it was more or less a fun movie.
Josstice League was a movie that was smaller than it should’ve been. The things that I liked in this movie though were the casting and the costume designs (even though they were already planned that way). I feel like they should’ve stayed with the original format with it being a 2-part event and not just a 1-off superhero movie. The jokes in this one didn’t land either, the CGI was hit or miss, Joss Whedon just had to insert the most random sexual shots of Gal Gadot just like he did in Age of Ultron (even repeated the same falling into the female characters’ breasts joke 🙄), I didn’t like Steppenwolf’s design and it didn’t look menacing at all to me, they should’ve given Cyborg more story, some random Russian family seemed to have a longer storyline than Cyborg’s, Flash’s story built up to him saving that Russian family, the only costume I didn’t like was Superman’s because the padding was very visible to me, and the CGI moustache removal…. I don’t think I have explain that too much. However I will say that it fits more of a theatrical release than the Snyder Cut in my opinion and I think if that cut was going to be released in theaters, it shouldn’t have been over 4 hours.
The only thing I didn’t like about the red and blue one was how much padding they kept showing in later movies

@KristianwithK yeah I do think that Spider-Man (Peter Parker to be more specific) is very overutilized (I personally think the Spider-verse thing is kinda getting old to me) and I brought that up as well in the post. I just meant that I think that Batman and Superman are very overutilized in general, not just the live action stuff. As with the the toxic fans, I definitely do think that a lot of Marvel fans (I guess comic fans in general) could be very toxic too, but I just happened to see the toxicity come from DC fans more than Marvel fans.
@N8THGR852 yeah I mostly just see it in a mix of everywhere, not just in 1 place. I mostly see it on social media tho but I haven’t seen it much on here which is kinda surprising to me but thank you for your comment.
To add on to the first one, these 3 different Batmen aren’t even like alternate takes Batman like Flashpoint Batman, Batman Who Laughs, Vampire Batman etc. They are all just… Batman.
I got bored and I don't remember if I made a post like this before but I felt like sharing some of my opinions about DC. P.S. I like both Marvel and DC but I pay a little more attention to Marvel so if I come off as biased Marvel fan, I’m not trying to (but then again opinions are kinda formed from being biased so whatever).
DC needs to give more characters the spotlight and not just Batman and Superman. I love Batman and Superman too but I kinda get annoyed with them being in every recent DC production. Plus I know that Batman and Superman are DC’s biggest money makers but I also feel like they would be making a lot of money on other DC characters if they actually showed them off and introduced them to the general audience. Plus, I know that they’ve been showing off more characters recently but I still feel like there’s still a lot more characters to be shown. Like I feel like we get a lot of Batman and Superman as it is. Like between 2012 and 2022, we’ve had 3 Batmans, Raimiverse Batman, Batfleck, and Battinson (and I know that the Dark Knight Batman was the final time we were going to see him but still) plus if the Flash movie got released this year, then we would’ve gotten the Michael Keaton back as Batman as we would’ve had 4. We would’ve had 4 different versions of Batman in the live-action movies alone in a 10-year span but not one live action interpretation of the greatest superhero ever created, Plastic Man… explain. But I will say that I loved all of those iterations plus Marvel went through the same thing with Spider-Man and think that they need to bring Henry and Ben back.
That show Stargirl is highly underrated and it hurts my soul that I don’t see anyone talk about it more. Plus I kinda feel like the show is not as popular because of it being on the CW network, which I feel like has a bad reputation and it kinda hurts the chances of people watching the show because people are automatically not going to take it seriously. But then again Superman & Lois is on that network as well and they’re pretty popular so I might be wrong.
Marvel is better than DC at making movies. Btw keep in mind, I said better AT making movies, not that they make better movies. I mean that Marvel is better at making a movie and getting it into theaters without there being issues like delays, reshoots, cancellations, etc. Like Marvel is constantly pumping out new content (whether people like the content or not, at least they get it released) meanwhile DC is lucky if half the movies that they announce make it to production. Like back in 2014, 6 new movies were announced. Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, two Justice League films, Shazam, Cyborg, and The Flash. That was 8 years ago and so far only half of those movies got released. Cyborg got cancelled, technically there was two Justice League movies but everybody already knows about that situation, and a a lot of people are just hoping that Flash gets cancelled because of Ezra Miller. Not to mention how one movie was practically finished in production but then got cancelled right after (Batgirl). But I know that these issues are because of Warner Bros and not DC itself and I’m honestly happy that Warner Bros is under new management.
I feel like at least half the Justice League roster should be able to take Superman on, probably not defeat him but definitely take him on and give him a run for his money. I can think of 10 off the top of my head, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (mostly Hal Jordan), Martian Manhunter, Captain Atom, Swamp Thing, Shazam, Supergirl, Doctor Fate, Flash, and Zatanna. I feel like these characters either have the potential to defeat Superman but either get undermined by the writers so Superman stays the most powerful, undermined for the story, or have used their full potential before but people just forgot or ignored it.
Even though Batman is one of the best, he is not the best DC hand to hand combatant, and there are a lot of non-superpowered characters who fight just as good, or even better, than him, for example, Lady Shiva and Cassandra Cain (even though her ability to read body language can be considered a power, it’s not really something she gained and something she was trained to have) just to name 2.
There are many non-superpowered characters who are just as smart, if not smarter, as Batman, Mr. Terrific and Lex Luthor to name 2.
Harley Quinn’s psychology needs to be explored. Like I love Harley Quinn and I’m always happy to see her in things (especially Margot Robbie’s) even though she’s in a lot of stuff but kinda don’t like how she’s gets portrayed in a lot of stuff, more specifically her mental health. Like her mental health is always kind of portrayed as a gag and it’s always just like “she’s so crazy lol 🤪” and a lot of times she just portrayed as a female Deadpool. I mean I know that she’s supposed to be a funny clown-type character but I feel like there’s a big chance for her mental health to be explored more seriously and not as just an aesthetic. For example, Jinx from Arcane, she has the role of the crazy jokester girl like Harley but on Arcane we actually see what she goes through with her mental health and it’s not just an aesthetic. That’s why Harley Quinn HBO Max version is one of my favorite portrayals as it seems to be very balanced between crazy clown girl and this girl just needs some serious help.
The Batman Who Laughs and the Dark Multiverse Saga is cool and all but it’s kinda getting dragged out at this point.
A lot of DC fans are toxic. Like the same could be said for Marvel fans but majority of the time, I always see DC fans express their love for DC by bashing or throwing shots at Marvel. Like I remember I asked this guy what he thought about the new Batman movie and he went on to basically say “I loved it so much! It’s better than any movie Marvel put out! MCU sucks! etc etc” like I said nothing about Marvel… but then again I have seen Marvel fans do this to DC fans as well and I just feel like this whole Marvel vs DC thing is so stupid and it does nothing but make it harder for fans to get along.
I don’t like how they were getting ready to make a whole new live-action show for Yara Flor (the new South American Wonder Woman) when she didn’t even make her comic debut yet before we got any type of debut of Nubia (the black Wonder Woman who’s been around for decades) outside of comics. The closest thing to a debut that Nubia made outside of comics was as an NPC on DC Universe Online.
I love the idea of Batwoman with guns. I remember seeing her use guns in Batman: Bad Blood and I kinda wished that design was utilized more and I feel like it fits Kate perfectly.

@Thegreatness05 yeah I absolutely agree with you on her rise in popularity and how fans who consider her a B-lister are misinformed. However I do kinda blame her being underrated on DC itself with the writers in movies, TV shows, and comics who feel the need to always make a production about every single story arc Batman or Superman have had or anything they’re featured in instead of shining the spotlight on other characters. But I have to disagree with on Wonder Woman not being as powerful as Superman because yeah she doesn’t need to be story wise but when you look at her feats, she’s without a doubt on par with Superman. Like yeah Superman maybe better than her in some feats like raw strength and raw speed but it’s also been confirmed that she has a few advantages over him. Not to mention how Superman’s strength advantage is barely even an advantage considering how Wonder Woman has been shown to be strong enough to stagger and even defeat opponents who are around Superman’s power level or even Superman himself with brute force alone. Not to mention how how she makes up the strength and speed gap with her combat expertise, weapons, and reflexes. Not to mention how in 2017, 15 battles between Wonder Woman and Superman have been recorded and it’s been shown that Wonder Woman won 6 of those fights, Superman won 4, and the other 5 were draws.
Am I the only one that feels like Wonder Woman is very underrated and underutilized compared to Batman and Superman?
