From what I've seen of Caped Crusader's Penguin, she seems like an interesting spin on the character. But, as always, you can't beat the original.

LEGO Joker doesn't kill his own henchmen for petty reasons. All I'll say.
Harley Quinn, during her "Joker-sidekick" era
@Mr.J 500000 While I can see where you're coming from, I don't entirely agree.
But I'll just leave it as an "agree-to-disagree" here, at the risk of getting this thread locked for political discussion.
@Mr.J 500000 I think that's more because whitewashing (as it's been dubbed colloquially) is generally seen as a form of erasure of marginalized representation. While there is certainly a debate to be had about whether race-swapping white characters to be black or other POC is lazy, pandering or virtue-signalling, in a broader social sense, one definitely has more inherent problems than the other.
At this rate, unless KTJL is all-in on the clone plot twist, this is the best we can realistically hope for.
At the least, if Troy Baker returns to the project, we'll have a proper Joker instead of some e-boy cosplayer.
Anarky. Gotham is almost ridiculously corrupt, and while Machin may have radical politics, those politics don't come from a place of misguided anger or revenge. He genuinely wants to help, even if it involves a destructive "revolution".
The more vigilante depictions of Two-Face also fit this bill. While JJ&E characters are certainly a controversial topic, Harvey's actions in these depictions come from a place of dissalusionment with a system he once held as the absolute.
You could say I'm of two minds on the subject of this.
On the one hand, the racial identities of the characters shouldn't matter, as long as they still feel like their original self. The Reevesverse did this quite well, nailing the "grizzled detective" angle with Jim.
On the other, if you want to make a 40s-era period piece with a diverse cast of characters, it may be more respectful to show the impact of segregation on those characters than to simply ignore it.
The Tyrant of Terror - Scarecrow
If it helps, just imagine that Suicide Squad is a non-canon Elseworld, like the rest of the Arkham fanbase.
Arkham City Riddler for me.
He has that perfect balance of being an arrogant loser and a deranged sociopath
I feel like the Flash would be a fun character to design an action game around.
You could play with fast-paced combat mechanics, time-related moves, obstacles that would force you to slow down- all sorts of things, really. It's surprising to me that WB hasn't capitalized on that kind of innovative design yet.
The whole "Batman's rogues are a reflection of himself" thing is purely retroactive at best.
I don't think that anyone who came up with the Joker was thinking "ah yes, this literal fucking clown will serve as a perfect dark mirror of Bruce Wayne".
No.
Is he stupid?
Kinda overhyped, but has a lot of potential.
Sinestro is just an amazing villain all around, so favoritism kinda plays into my pick.
Plus, all those times Scarecrow put on a Yellow Ring were peak.
Riddler.
