A lot of people keep complaining about 2 different batmen. I really wanted Battinson to be in DCU, but I thought for a while and I feel its best if he's kept separated, and I'll explain why:

1. Avoiding the unplanned chaos: We all know the mess DCEU was. Man of Steel was never supposed to kick-off the DCEU, unlike Iron Man did. Similarly, Matt Reeves's Batman isn't supposed to be a part of a bigger universe.

2. Creative freedom: Gunn already stated that he wishes to respect Reeves's standalone universe. Batman came at a chaotic time when the DCEU was already dead. It's best to not force it into another universe, and make Reeves face the same tragedy that Snyder did.

3. The antidote for the MCU issue: One of the biggest issues MCU (I love MCU, I'm not the Marvel vs DC guy for the record) created is that people prioritize the actor over the character. They can't see anyone else playing Iron Man or Captain America. DC should go the other way: a lot of people can play Batman because there are a lot of interpretations of the character and a lot more stories to tell.

4. Elseworlds Rising: A lot more stories means a lot more elseworlds movies, which is an indispensable part of DC. The biggest difference between Marvel and DC is that the best storylines in DC are one-shots like The Killing Joke instead of a crossover (I do love Final Crisis though).

While James Gunn confirmed that Xolo Maridueña will continue to play the role of Jaime Reyes in the DCU, he also stated that none of the films or shows released before the start of the official DCU (barring the rare exception like Peacemaker, of course) will be officially canon to the new universe. Personally, in Blue Beetle's case this is a disservice.

Jaime's story and solo movie was a good one not just because he was an interesting character, but because he had a rich supporting cast with his equally interesting family. Plus, to just ignore the lore established in that film (and the Ted Kord tease) feels like a missed opportunity. Additionally, the film's lack of significant connections to the prior DCEU (occasional mentions of other superheroes, yes, but no actual appearance by any of the actors who played them) makes it easier to integrate into the new DCU compared to the rest of the previously established superheroes.

With Gunn and Peter Safran affirming that the "true" start of the DCU is with Superman and not Creature Commandos (making the latter a prologue of sorts), it would be fairly easy to retcon Blue Beetle as part of the DCU without much fuss. The film could also function as part of a prologue like Creature Commandos did.

I watched the new Superman movie recently and I really enjoyed it. I liked the bright tone of it but had a bit of an issue with Ultraman.

For such an insane thing Lex has, an actual clone of Superman. I feel he is underutilized.

Idk just a random thought I had after lol but what did you guys think about Ultraman and the other villains? I definitely loved Lex. He stole the show for me up there with Smallville Lex as my favorite.

There's a destroyed building in the background. Does that mean the DCU's America went through "The Atomic War" aka WW3?

There was zero reason that they couldn't let other devs make DC cool games while also letting Gunn do his thing.

WB wanting everything developed in-house has meant we get barely any games and the ones we have gotten are complete failures , they have neither quality nor quantity. Now there is no hope for DC games.

The Flash is undeniably one of the most recognisable superheroes of all time. I've seen people argue whether or not he is more of a pillar to DC than Wonder Woman, and I'm not here to discuss this, but the fact the discussion even exists says a lot about how important he is.

The CW Series being a big hit is the biggest proof that people love The Flash as a concept (unlike what Andy Muschietti had to say about it). In my opinion, most of his appeal is the same as Spider-Man's, that being he is a normal, relatable guy with everyday problems and hustles that gains superpowers all of a sudden. Also, Flash’s power is amazing because speed creates so many possibilities for both storytelling and action. It’s not just strong, it’s dynamic. His suit is equally great; simple, iconic, and it just works perfectly for who he is.

The Flash has decades of amazing stories to pull from, and the nature of his powers create so many possibilities. The stories got enough depth to stand on their own if they were a self-contained universe and it'd still be interesting. And don't even get me started on his power levelz I know there’s a whole crowd who sees The Flash as a literal god.

That’s why I think The Flash has the potential to become a huge success for DC. He should be a top priority. People are (rightfully) asking desperately for a Wonder Woman project, and The Flash deserves that same energy. And it doesn’t matter how recent the DCEU Flash movie is. The same way two Batmen can coexist if their tones are different enough (DCU and Reevesverse), a comic-accurate Barry Allen (personality and characteristics that wise) would feel totally different from the DCEU version. It wouldn’t even be an issue.

Which villain/s would you want them to use?

If you can name some, it would be pretty cool. Especially victories, cause I guess something we all MMH fandom knows is DC mostly makes him lose fights with no sense at all.

Okay, let's be honest, we need for Hal and Carol to marry so we can get more character development, for so long we saw them being together, then breaking up, then being together again, and so on, i think it'd be great to see them be a superhero couple as Mr Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

It only allows for more character development that I feel like is needed for these two, and I think that whenever Jeremy Adams ends his run hopefully it's long cuz he's great in the title! It'd be a great way to end it, and tease what might be coming next for Hal and Carol.

I know many would disagree but I'm not really interested in having Hawkgirl if she joined the DCU Justice League and I think she would fit better in The Terrifics. I know that everyone wants it because it would make the League just like the DCAU one or the one from the recent comics but honestly I think she fits better with The Terrifics than in the League.

I think The Terrifics in the DCU should be as different as the Justice League and the Titans are. They're the first heroes in DC history and i think their roster should include various members from different generations from the 1940s (Jay Garrick, Alan Scott, Wildcat etc.) or the 60s (Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne, Diana Prince etc.) and Kendra Saunders is the reincarnation of Shiera and would be a let down.

In the Peacemaker Season 2 trailer we saw her still with LordTech so i think by the end of Superman. She and Guy will be still part of the Justice Gang and possibly if we get a Justice Gang/The Terrifics project. I would like it if they explored the DCU connection between heroes and values in their world, preparing the final stage for a Chapter One: Gods & Monsters in the DCU. There can be a place where both teams worked together.
