@Arise Etrigan - Are there any in particular that you did like?

Batman/Aliens was a favourite of mine (and I did enjoy Linkara's two-part AT4W review of it - it got some laughs out of me), although you'll probably have some more experience than me is this regard.

On a side note, what about the alternative idea - DC simply making Godzilla or Gamera stories that are in their own universe, similar to what happened with things like Wildstorm and Vertigo where they tell other stories that aren't dependent on being an integral part of the DC Universe (been crossed over with/drafted in later if the writers see fit)?

Well if the story was good, I wouldn't complain - especially with the amount of crossovers that DC has had over the years with other franchises; be it Alien, Predator, Terminator, Spawn, Judge Dredd, Marvel, TMNT, Scooby Doo, Power Rangers, War of the Worlds, Fortnite, etc.

@CmDC01 - It's weird as I struggle with jokes/sarcasm but I can understand stand up comedy fine for the most part, like so:

"I parked my car in the multi-story car park. There's a sign at the entrance of the multi-story car park that says Warning: Maximum Height, but you see that same sign at the car park exit...bit late by that point, isn't it?"

@Tupka217 - Ah, fair enough; that happens a lot with me due to been Autistic.

I do struggle with jokes and sarcasm - especially over the internet when I can't listen to the tension in a person's vocal patterns to see if they're been genuine or not.

For Batman, maybe Joe Chill killed him alongside Thomas and Martha Wayne.

For Superman, maybe his pod was caught in Krypton's explosion.

For Wonder Woman, maybe she never left Themyscira.

In any case, I'm curious to see which of DC's "Trinity" you think would cause the biggest impact to the DCAU if they weren't in the story.

I've only read Death in the Family; I need to read Death of the Family at some point.

@BlueDaly - Damn, Batman and Superman as one hero. That sounds like it would be interesting.

@Tupka217 - I agree, Injustice would be too long to adapt and require too much context for a movie or two.

That one would probably require an animated TV series to do it justice.

@Tupka217 and @Leto2073 - Maybe (taking inspiration from Zack Snyder's Justice League) they could break Kingdom Come or the other choices down into an animated miniseries to cover the whole thing?

Some of the other ideas I had included the crossovers with other properties, but I won't discuss those here as I don't want to get in trouble or get the thread locked.

@TFF2! - I agree. Also, taking an established character and swapping around some of their immutable characteristics just feels like a cop out to me.

In regards to the DCAU and Lara surviving, I could imagine her and Wonder Woman getting on pretty well together - regardless of whether Lara becomes a hero or not.

In regards to her and Batman meeting, that might prove interesting.

@Brandon Fitzgerald22 - Spoiler Alert.

In the comic, The Flash tries to save people from a fire - racing through the building as you'd expect.

However, he finds he's two late to save two people who have died (one of whom, if I'm remembering rightly, is a child).

This ultimately plays on his mind for a long time to the point you see the picture above - with him breaking down in tears as he tells the JLA members "I keep seeing them in my head"; him later asking how the members cope during the times they've failed to save someone.
