ブルービートル Vol. 8（Blue Beetle Vol. 8）はフラッシュポイント後に刊行された、NEW 52のコミックスの一つである。ブルービートルの活躍が描かれる。

概要[]

本シリーズは、NEW 52のリランチによって新たに刊行した52誌のコミック・シリーズの一つで、『グリーンランタン・コァ』や『R.E.B.E.L.S.』を手がけたトニー・ベダードがライターを担当し、イグ・グアラがペンシラーを担当してスタートした。トニー・ベダードは同時期に『グリーンランタン：ニュー・ガーディアンズ』も手がけており、本シリーズにも『ニュー・ガーディアンズ』の関連キャラクターが登場した。
本シリーズはティーンエイジャーのハイメ・レイエスがブルービートルとして登場し、彼のオリジンから描かれた。

ティーンエイジャーのハイメ・レイエスにとって、学校にも家庭にも悩みの種は山ほどあった。だがそんなハイメに、新たな悩みがやってくる。それは、星々を征服する宇宙人が作り出した、スカラベなんていう物騒な高度技術と繋がってしまうことだった。強力な異星人の力を手に入れ、ブルービートルとなったハイメは、果たしてその力を正しいことのために使えるのか？
