Synopsis for "Doing What Married People Do..."
Maze, Denton, and Eddie were standing by the doors of South Richmond Savings & Loan, observing the rain when Mr. Vanderplatz observed that Eddie had stayed five minutes past his shift. Maze attempted to call a taxi, but was brushed off. While walking away from the bank, Eddie told Maze and Denton that he had to take Brenda to one of her office "encounter sessions." Denton declared that the sessions were just parties, which excited Maze, resulting in Eddie insisting that Maze take Brenda that night. However, in exchange, Eddie would fulfill Maze's task of watching over the skunks.
When Eddie returned to his apartment, he attempted to stall into going with Brenda to her upcoming party. During his time at the party, Eddie attempted to make small talk, but only ended up looking awkward.
After they returned to their apartment, Eddie expressed his resentment for the parties to Brenda before she decided to ignore Stillwater's phone call to spend time with Eddie.

Synopsis for "Thanks But No Thanks"
Ed Sax went to Artie Beecham's Place where he had a beer and told Artie that his wife Louise had been going crazy because 'Mazing Man had saved their son Jonathan from being hit by a truck and she never got the chance to thank him.
Three weeks earlier, Louise had made pot roast, not for him, but for 'Mazing Man as thanks for saving Jonathan, as well as believing him to be underfed. Another week later, Ed came home to find that dinner was not yet ready because Louise was knitting a sweater for 'Mazing Man. He began to believe that Louise had a crush on 'Mazing Man and when she planned on buying the hero a used car, Ed decided to pay him a visit.
When Ed arrived at 'Mazing Man's apartment, Denton was scolding Maze over his skunks. When Ed finally gained the chance to talk, he asked to settle their debt to him for saving their son. 'Mazing Man refused to accept anything in return, although Denton agreed to settle the debt in exchange for taking away three skunks.
Back at Artie Beecham's Place, Ed asked Artie if he knew anyone who would want three skunks.
