1952 saw the effects of the Korean War coming to comics. While DC made their war stories in G.I. Combat (Volume 1) and Our Army at War (Volume 1) mostly about World War II, Fawcett went all out. It published two series set in the war, Battle Stories (Volume 1) and Bill Battle, the One Man Army (Volume 1), and introduced a number of Korean villains in Captain Marvel's titles with such names as Red Crusher, Scarlet Vampire, Mongol Monster and Red Vulture.

Superman #76 was the first team-up of Superman and Batman, and is considered by some chroniclers the start of Earth-One.

1952 also saw the last movie serial adaptation of a DC-related property - Blackhawk: Fearless Champion of Freedom - and the first television series: The Adventures of Superman, starring George Reeves.
