1970 is the year of two noticable creative changes, heralding the start of the Bronze Age. Jack Kirby gets a blank cheque to do anything he wants and creates Darkseid and the New Gods in Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #133. Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams take over Green Lantern (Volume 2) and rebrand it in a more socially-conscious team title with Green Arrow, the Hard Traveling Heroes-era with Green Lantern (Volume 2) #76. The creative partnership of O'Neil and Adams also handles Detective Comics (Volume 1), starting at Detective Comics #395.
