Synopsis for "Around the World in 80 Minutes"
This story is reprinted from Showcase #13.
After taking Iris on a date to see the film "Around the World in 80 Days", Iris muses how long it would take Flash to run around the world before reminding Barry that they have a date and he shouldn't be late. That night, Barry completes a new radio wrist watch that will allow him to hear emergency broadcasts from around the world.
The next day Flash races to Paris to stop the Black Cat from blowing up the Eiffel Tower, travels to Egypt to saves Princess Tara from El Claw, stops an avalanche near Mt. Everest, and stops a pirate submarine. After recovering the crew targeted by the pirate sub, they tell him it's Tuesday. Fearing he's late for his date (Which was for Monday evening) Flash races back to the States and changes into Barry Allen, and finds to his relief that it's still Monday on his side of the world and he's just in time for his date with Iris.

Synopsis for "Giants of the Time World"

During a lunch date, Iris tells Barry that she is going to be testing out a new jet as part of a news story. Later while Iris is testing out the craft it is captured by a UFO. Witnessing the abduction on his wrist watch, Barry changes into the Flash and chases after the ship aboard a rocket, but the ship disappears. Realizing that it must have traveled through time, Flash speeds through the time barrier and ends up in a strange world where the people start out small but grow in to giants.
Told that he is in the fourth-dimension, the giants tell the Flash that they intend to invade the Earth and take it over. Braking free of the hour-glass they have imprisoned him in, the Flash saves Iris and destroys the giant's invasion fleet with speed-vibrations, before returning himself and Iris to their own dimension.

Synopsis for "The Master of Mirrors"
This story is reprinted from The Flash #105.
At the Central City bank, Sam Scudder walks in with civilian clothes on and walks up to bank teller, Mr. J. Wilkins, to exchange larger bills for singles. As the banker is distracted, Scudder takes out a small pocket mirror to capture the individuals 'image' from all angles before leaving the bank.
Outside the city, Mirror Master develops the bank teller's image with his "camera mirror". Sam thinks about his original discovery of these gimmick mirrors when he was in jail years ago. He remembers he painted the wrong material onto a mirror and thought he had ruined it. When he looked into it and saw images the mirror was looking at earlier, he found that this mirror retained an image for several minutes before disappearing. Since leaving jail, he's improved his techniques and can now print 3-D images from the mirrors. He prints up a mirror image of Mr. J. Wilkins from the bank and sends him back to the bank to steal money for him.
Barry Allen, happening to be at the bank at the time, notices that there is something amiss about the manager as his hair is parted differently than before, and his wedding band is on his right hand, so he decides to follow him.
Barry transforms into the Flash to follow Wilkins but soon finds Wilkins moving just as fast as the Flash can. He soon finds himself at a secluded house. Flash finds many mirrors around the house and cannot tell which is the real Wilkins and which is just a mirror image. Flash grabs a paint bucket and starts painting the walls to remove the mirror illusions. Flash follows Wilkins into another room where he encounters a gigantic mosquito. By moving at the speed of light, the Flash causes a strange affect on the mosquito and disables it. Next the the Flash is chased by a Minotaur. He turns off the power in the house and the Minotaur instantly disappears. Flash finds the Mirror Master in the dark and quickly captures the crook and turns him over to the police. The Flash explains he realized these were items powered by light so if he turned of the power and lights, he figured his mirror creations would disappear.
Later, resuming his civilian identity, Barry goes on a date with Iris and fills her in on the story.

Synopsis for "Challenge of the Weather Wizard"
This story is reprinted from The Flash #110.
Having an impending date with Iris West in an hour, Barry is determined to make it on time. Iris gave him a 12 date minimum where he must be on time every date. The police scanner alerts Barry of a rain storm on a sunny day. Barry decides to investigate as the Flash.
Flash discovers a new villain called the Weather Wizard. The Weather Wizard uses his Weather Wand to summon fog to distract the Flash as he escapes.
A U.S. Marshal finds a confused Flash emerging from the fog. He informs him that the Weather Wizard is the common crook named Mark Mardon, who escaped police custody while being transported to prison. He was familiar with where he jumped off the train and headed towards a lake area where his brother, Clyde Mardon, lived on an island. Mark discovers his brother was conducting weather control experiments. Combining his brother's research with his own, Mark creates his Weather Wand to help him carry out his 'special project'.
Weather Wizard uses his wand to create colored snow and rainbows to distract people as he executed a robbery, and hailstorms to destroy a police station. The police station attack gives the Flash an idea as he takes off to investigate.
Arriving at a secluded house, Flash finds a huge glacier approaching a house. Using an Acetylene Torch to melt the ice, and then spinning his arm around as a windstorm to deflect the water, he saves the house and Central City.
The Flash turns Mark over to the police. He explains he deduced that the Weather Wizard would strike at police officer Jim Harvey's home who had previously arrested Mark when he saw his other attacks had attacked previous officers involved in Mark's arrests. Realizing that it's almost time to meet with Iris, Flash speeds to where they are to meet. Telling her that he's on time for once, he realizes that he had arrived as the Flash and not Barry Allen, raising Iris's suspicion of the Flash's identity.

Synopsis for "The Day the Flash Weighed 1000 Pounds"
This story is reprinted from The Flash #115.
In Gorilla City, Gorilla Grodd contemplates how the Flash keeps foiling his plans.[1][2][3] He sits in a triple glass-reinforced prison. He ingests a pill that would allow his mind to leave his body and take over the body of a random person on earth. When Grodd appears to die in his cell, Solovar calls the Flash to inform him of the news that he will no longer need to worry about Grodd. Barry can barely believe it's true.
In Central City, Grodd's mental powers take over William Dawson's body. Dawson gets a job at a circus and with his knowledge of communicating with gorillas. Dawsome instructs the chimps to begin stealing items around the City.
Barry cancels a date with Iris West so that he may investigate the strange crimes. He finds the Chimps and takes them to jail by spinnning in a whirlwind to contain them. When Flash investigates the circus, they inform him of the new hire William Dawson training the chimps.
Dawson constructs a device that will increase the Flash's weight to 1000 pounds. Seeing the Flash run by, Dawson shoots the Flash rending him almost inert and then striking him with amnesia. Dawson puts Flash in a display as part of the circus' freak-show.
Walking through a mirror maze, Flash recalls who he is. Flash heads to a dehydration plant to remove the excess water weight.
At his apartment, Dawson notices his pill is wearing off and his facial hair is coming in as thick as gorilla hair. Now that his memory has returned, the Flash appears at his apartment to stop him. He pricks his suit with a pin to deflate the air and beats Dawson unconscious. Flash turns him over to the police and meets Iris for dinner.
