Synopsis for "Invisible Mafia, Part 6"

Clark finds Mayor Hopkins attending a charity event for children and attempts to ask him questions about his comments to Melody about superhumans tainting criminal investigations. Mayor Hopkins deflects Clark's questions and gets on his limousine, but not before making snide remarks about Lois' absence. As the limo speeds off, Clark uses his super hearing to listen to Mayor Hopkins complain about who could have possibly leaked his comments to a press. Running to a nearby alley, Clark puts on his Superman uniform and flies off.

Later at the Daily Planet, Robinson works on her Red Cloud story and tells Perry that Red Cloud fought Superman to a standstill, impressing Perry, who says that her story might be front page material. Clark returns to the bullpen and uses his X-ray vision to watch Robinson leave.

Later that night, Melody leaves the fire department after a day's work and goes to unlock her bike but she gets ambushed by the Red Cloud, who tries to kill her. Fortunately, Superman arrives at the scene and uses his super breath to pull the Red Cloud off Melody. Red Cloud continues to attack but Superman keeps her at bay, until he tries to reason with her. He says that whatever problems Red Cloud has, he can help her but first, she has to pay her debts to society. Red Cloud refuses and vanishes into thin air, leaving Superman to comfort Melody.

Robinson makes her way to Mr. Strong and tells him about what happened to Superman. Impressed by her resilience, Mr. Strong introduces Robinson to the leader of the Invisible Mafia, a woman who holds an electronic tablet that says that her name is Leone, another one of the things the Invisible Mafia is not allowed to say out loud. Leone says that crime used to be much easier before Superman came around, but now, they must adapt and work without raising any suspicions. To make their job easier, Leone has bought the Daily Planet and she is in possession of the green car Superman smashed years ago.
