Synopsis for "Gifts"
Leone is looking at her cellphone in her house until she gets visit from a drone sent by Lex, who wants to offer her a gift. She preemptively declines, as she no trusts no man who offers her gifts out of nowhere, but Lex says that this gift is something that the owner of the Daily Planet should have. He leaves a box on the floor, but Leone calls her bodyguards, who break into the room and destroy Lex's drone. Leone declares a full house protocol and suddenly, the entire house disappears from the block.
Meanwhile at the Daily Planet, Perry asks Robinson about how she continues to gain new headlines, while more experienced reporters struggle to get similar stories. Even Lois, who is having success with her Spyral story, cannot compare to Robinson's work on Leviathan. Robinsons says she merely got lucky and tells Perry about Thorn's encounter with Leviathan. Leviathan tried to recruit Thorn to his cause but she refused and escaped. Rose returned home and found Leviathan forces trying to kidnapped her and she only escaped thanks to Thorn's assistance.
As Robinson explains her story, her arm turns gaseous again and she runs to the bathroom, struggling to maintain control of her powers. Trish, who is also in the bathroom, thinks Robinson is smoking and tells Robinson she will be in trouble if Perry finds out.
Later, Superman finds Thorn attacking a group of Leviathan soldiers. He stops the fighting and tries to get answers from one of the surviving soldiers. With some pressure from Thorn, the Leviathan soldier agrees to talk to Superman, who discovers his X-ray vision cannot penetrate his armor. The soldier admits even he does not know how his armor works and only now does he realize the armor was booby-trapped. Scared, the soldier delivers a message from Leviathan: they will not fight Superman. Suddenly, the soldier's armor generates a blue light that teleports Superman into India, forcing him to fly all the way back to Metropolis.
Clark writes about what happened to Superman and tells Perry that Leviathan's blue light doesn't destroy things, it merely teleports them to an unknown location. Clark says that Superman wants the information to go public if it means lives will be saved. Perry tries to find out where Robinson is but Jimmy says she went home.
Meanwhile, at Robinson's home, she still tries to control her powers until one of Lex's drone visits. Robinson transforms into the Red Cloud, expecting a fight, but Lex says that he can fix her powers and even tell her about her secret origin.
