Synopsis for "New Voices"
Naomi McDuffie has no idea how to control her powers. Even flying is a huge challenge for her. Still, she needs help on how to control her powers, which is why she has traveled to Metropolis, to get help from the best hero of them all: Superman.
As fate would have it, Superman stumbles upon the crater Naomi just made outside the Daily Planet. Luckily, there are no injured and Superman can tell that Naomi has no experience with her powers, so he takes her to the Hall of Justice, where she can be analyzed by metahuman experts. As Naomi is examined by Batman and Ray Palmer, she tells them she comes from a different Earth, an Earth destroyed by metahumans. Her biological parents sent her to Earth-0 before being killed by Zumbado, who has taken an interest in the new world Naomi lives in. Naomi also finds a way to connect with Superman (adoption) and Batman (murdered parents). However, as the heroes show her a map of the Multiverse so she can identify her homeworld, she finds herself unable to do so, as she has never seen a map of the Multiverse before.
Superman cannot stay with Naomi for long, however, as his super hearing picks up a sound and he goes to investigate. The sound comes from the bar used by the Invisible Mafia and he finds Red Cloud intoxicating Thorn, who has just reverted into Rose. As Rose escapes, Superman fights Red Cloud, who reveals that her powers have been boosted by Lex Luthor. As they fight across the city's skyline, Red Cloud intoxicates Superman and says that Lex must have known Superman would go after her, which is why he boosted her powers in the first place.
