Thank you for showing me why the Age of Heroes was so appropriately named. Thank you, Superman. Thank you, House of Kent.
Action Comics #1027 is an issue of the series Action Comics (Volume 1) with a cover date of January, 2021. It was published on November 24, 2020.
Synopsis for "The House of Kent, Epilogue"
Lois has been arrested by the FBI and is being interrogated by Agent Cameron Chase, who asks Lois where she is from, but Lois refuses to answer. When Chase asks if Lois is truly from this dimension, Lois still refuses to answer. Suddenly, Kate Spencer, Lois' lawyer, arrives at the interrogation room and escorts Lois out, with Chase being unable to stop them.
Two hours ago, Superman had been incapacitated by the Red Cloud while the Daily Planet crew watched the battle from the building. Fortunately, Supergirl is able to catch Superman before he hit the ground while Jon and Conner keep Red Cloud distracted with their super-speed. This gives Brainiac 5 enough time to activate the Phantom Zone projector, sending Superman, his allies and Red Cloud into the Phantom Zone. Once there, Robinson realizes her powers are useless, so she forced to revert back to her human form. Superman gives her a choice: surrender to the authorities on Earth and try to make amends for her crimes or spend the rest of her life in the Phantom Zone. Conner tells Robinson that at least she's getting a choice, something the uber-Parasite didn't get.
In the present, Lois and Kate talk with Chase at the F.B.I.'s Metropolis branch. Chase asks Lois if she knows where Marisol Leone is, but Lois remains silent. Chase then realizes that Leone is the one from an alternate universe and she accused Lois of being from an alternate universe in order to cover for her escape. That would explain why there are no documents about Leone. Unfortunately, Chase had arrived at the conclusion far too late because Leone was already gone.
Sometime later, Superman and his family have taken Robinson to Stryker's Island and Robinson is outfitted with a device that nullifies her powers. Leone has also left a note for Robinson, in which she berates Robinson for directly attacking Superman even when she specifically instructed her not to. Leone is also unhappy with Robinson's decision to associate with Lex Luthor because he made things even harder for them. Now, Leone has decided to leave Robinson to her fate, but not before promising that, if she ever meets an alternate version of Robinson Goode, Leone will ruin her life.
After leaving Red Cloud at Stryker's Island, Superman and his friends think about everything that has happened to them and come to the conclusion that everything can be traced back to S.T.A.R. Labs. Superman is so frustrated by S.T.A.R. Labs' actions that he actually fantasizes about the destroying the S.T.A.R. Labs building. Brainiac 5 informs the House of Kent that the moment has come for him to return to the 31st century. Jon also plans to go with him, but first he wants to spend some time with his family. Supergirl is also interested in travelling to the 31st century and Brainiac 5 says that it will happen, eventually.
As soon as Brainiac 5 takes his leave, Superman listens to Lois whisper the emergency word "Smallville," causing the House of Kent to fly straight towards the Daily Planet. Once there, Lois informs Superman that the FBI has cancelled their investigation. With Leone gone, there is no reason for the FBI to remain at the Daily Planet. At the same time, the Daily Planet has acquired a new owner, as approved by the board of directors. Superman wonders if it's Lex, but Perry says that this new owner is even worse: Jimmy Olsen.
