Quote1 This one should be familiar. A family saves a child's life by sending him away in a little ship. He is discovered by another tribe, becomes a great hero, one day finds his own people again, and frees them from slavery. I have read some version of that story in thousands of cultures... practically every culture ever documented. The events of your coming have echoed throughout the Multiverse since the beginning of time. Quote2

Synopsis for "Warworld Revolution, Part One"

With the aid of the Orphan Box and Superman's partially restored powers, the rebels are able to storm Teacher's citadel and rescue Manchester Black. Superman and Midnighter destroy Darling and capture Orphan, who falls into a coma once they are separated from Darling.

The rebels have taken refuge in the Necropolis which constantly changes, making it impossible to map or search. Therefore, Mongul has an army of workers demolishing it piece by piece to find them, despite the mysterious hooded figure who first approached him with the plan to capture Superman warning him that this could render Warworld uninhabitable by removing the life-giving deposits of Genesis. Mongul's bloodpriests have also brainwashed Apollo and force him to pilot Warworld to Thyne, a peaceful agricultural world which is a member of the United Planets. Mongul calls Lord-Premiere Thaaros and claims he was provoked into attacking by the United Planets developing a new form of autonomous fighter craft which would potentially threaten a Warworld battleship. He threatens Thaaros into accepting Mongul's conquest of the world and enslavement of it's people, as well as a "gift" of 10,000 of the new ships in return for not attacking the entire United Planets.

At the rebels' headquarters, Byla takes Superman into cavern deep in the Necropolis. He tells Superman that the runes carved on the walls are the oldest writing in creation and that they tell the "source myths", universal stories which are replicated in cultures across the Multiverse. Byla tells Superman the tale of Olgrun, the first and greatest of the Old Gods. Olgrun fell to madness, and the other Old Gods warred against him, eventually defeating him and splitting his essence into seven "aspects" which they scattered across the Multiverse, each with a world built around it and cunning traps and puzzles to guard it from the unworthy. Byla tells Superman that one of the aspects is buried within Warworld, and he must find it before Mongul, because if one who is unworthy finds the god-aspects, then Olgrun will return and destroy all.

Meanwhile on the surface, Mongul attacks the rebels with a fleet of the new United Planets ships.
