Synopsis for "Ex Machina"
The Superman Family and Metallo battle the Cyborg Superman, Tracy Corben, and the very walls of the room they are in which is also under Henshaw's control. Henshaw disrupts the Eradicator's connection to the Fortress of Solitude, deactivating the hologram, but before he disappears he advises Superboy to use his tactile telekinesis to disrupt the electrical signals that allow him to control his drones. Connor begins to shut down the drones and Henshaw sends Tracy to stop him. Steel knocks her away with the Kinetic Hammer and Henshaw blasts her in the head with his heat vision as punishment for being so easily stopped. Metallo attacks Henshaw's prime body in a rage and violently rips it apart.
Connor is able to shut down Henshaw's control to the other units, and on the surface the Necro-Drones all fall to the ground. Kong Kenan hears a heartbeat coming from the only drone still standing and flies him to S.T.A.R. Labs to try and save his life. Back underground, Superman tries to repair Tracy's damaged skull, while John tells her she will survive because she is one of the good guys and the good guys always win; weeping acidic tears as he does so.
The Corbens are taken to Steelworks where Tracy is repaired and John is transplanted into a new body. The Irons' let Tracy stay for as long as she needs while John is imprisoned in the sub-basement. The next morning, Steelworks security take John up to visit Tracy and he tries to comfort her, but finds her trying to rip her artificial skin off, suffering from the same sensory deprivation that almost drove him mad when he first became Metallo. She says that she is now a monster like him, but John tells her that it wasn't becoming Metallo that made him a monster, it was always part of him; but Tracy is one of the good guys.
That night, Blue Earth gather in their headquarters, an abandoned church. One of them says that they have failed and may as well give up but their leader, a teen goth girl, tells him that a backlash is already growing against Superman and the radical change he is introducing to Metropolis. She tells her followers that by tomorrow night, Superman will be a mass murderer and Blue Earth will be the heroes.

She orders him to crush the rebellion for her and threatens to kill Jon if he refuses. There are 120 total lead-lined cells like the one holding Jon buried around the world, so Clark can't know which one he's in or get to all of them before Glyanna triggers the explosives in Jon's cell. Clark flies outside and stalls for time by using his heat vision to dig a trench between the protestors and the palace, hoping Jon will realise he can create vibrations which Clark can track by hitting the walls of his cell. Jon does figure it out and starts hammering a rhythm on the walls; until Glyanna realises what he's doing and starts to drain the air from the cell.
