Synopsis for "New Worlds, Part Four"
Superman goes to an anachronistic 1980's punk bar in Devonshire and enlists a severely hungover John Constantine's help in finding Otho-Ra.
On Earth al Ghul, Otho-Ra calls to Superman for help, but Janan al Ghul gloats that her family can't save her. Otho-Ra blasts her but Janan, now calling herself Sister Shadow, disperses her energy blasts with magic. Janan reveals that after the Authority invaded Earth al Ghul, there were mass uprisings and her family were all killed in the ensuing battles, leaving her as the last Wayne and al Ghul. Otho tries to flee but Janan chases and grabs her. She shows Otho-Ra a vision of a version of herself from a world in the Dark Multiverse where Superman never came to Warworld, and she is a mighty Warzoon: the Valkyrie General of the Warworld Engines and Soulbearer of Olgrun. Janan tells Otho that is who she is meant to be, and she has brought her to the Dark Multiverse to give her back her iron.
On Earth 0, Blue Earth go on a rampage through A-Town and the Superman Family respond. Osul-Ra wants to join the fight, believing that Blue Earth know where his sister is; but Lois and Supergirl keep him in the Steelworks, as they're afraid Blue Earth might try to kidnap him too. Osul is terrified for Otho, who he has never been apart from before, but Supergirl comforts him with the story of Red Son and Starchild; twins raised by warring tribes, but whose bond was still strong enough to overcome anything.
Superman and John Constantine go to Blue Earth's headquarters in Metropolis, where Constantine is able to break the magical wards and enter Janan's hidden chamber. Constantine notices a cauldron in the centre of the room and is horrified. He tells Superman that it is an "Organum Infernialis", an unholy form of magic that allows the user to travel to other dimensions by passing through Hell. He tells Superman that it is too dangerous to use and they need to find another way, but Superman says there is no time. He hears Otho-Ra's voice calling for help coming out of an hourglass nearby. Constantine tells him it is a trick but Superman ignores him and grabs it. This creates a huge vortex which destroys the room and sucks Superman in. It deposits him on Earth al Ghul along with Bloodwynd and Etrigan, whose spirits were used to create the cauldron.

Synopsis for "Past is Prologue"
Lor-Zod is frustrated. He can tell that his parents are preparing their fiefdom "New Kandor" for war but they will not tell him when or with who. Instead they only allow him to test Ursa's attempts to enhance the native population and make them more effective warriors, a duty he finds tiresome as he easily slaughters any of them that he fights. Lor complains to Ursa that General Zod is not preparing him for the day when he succeeds him, and obliquely threatens that he may try to overthrow his father if things do not change.
Lor-Zod detects a fluctuation in the security grid covering an entire quadrant of the southern hemisphere. His parents tell him not to worry about it, but he goes to investigate nevertheless. He finds a squadron of robots wearing the House of Zod's emblem who order him to turn back, but instead he destroys them. When he throws one of the robots it passes through a cloaking field and disappears. He follows the robot through and inside the field discovers a giant dome of Kryptonian Sunstone under construction.
