Synopsis for Supergirl: "The Great Supergirl Double-Cross!"

Linda Danvers and Dick Malverne are going to have a picnic with Lena Thorul and her mysterious new boyfriend, Jeff Colby. As waiting for Jeff, Lena's precognition warns Jeff is in a plane about to crash. Linda hastily slips away, and finds Jeff parachuting from a plane. Supergirl stealthily makes both Jeff and the plane land separately but safely. Linda's suspicious are raised when she sees Jeff hiding his chute and pilot suit. Later Lena introduces him to Linda and Dick, and Jeff makes up a story about a traffic jam.

Feeling wary, Supergirl spies on him via telescopic vision and discovers he is member of an international spy ring who operate in a Spy-Dome three miles off the coast of America. Upon finding out they just got engaged, Linda decides she needs to break Lena's heart now before Jeff does. During their engagement party, Linda hypnotizes Jeff into flirting with her and then forgetting about it.

After Jeff has been jilted by Lena, Supergirl goes to tell the FBI about Colby, but she learns Jeff is a F.B.I. double agent who helped trap Lex Luthor in the past and is gathering evidence to shut the Spy-Dome down.

To make up for her blunders, Supergirl tows the Spy-Dome within the legal limit of the U.S.'s jurisdiction so that the spies can be arrested. She is wondering how she can bring Lena and Jeff back together when she finds out Lena is so distraught she has signed up for working as a nurse's aid in Africa, and she is leaving the next day.

Supergirl builds a Jeff Colby robot overnight, and then she explains to Lena and Jeff a modified version of the truth in where Linda Danvers agreed to flirt with a robot posing as the real Colby, who she believed to be an enemy spy. Jeff and Lena make up and get married, Linda being Lena's bridesmaid at their wedding.
