In an imaginary story, Superman judges that Superman Jr. is abusing his powers, after a sucession of fails: the teen burned a unique alien flower while flying at high speeds instead protect it with his cape; he was fooled by criminals using a tank covered with fake kryptonite; he damaged the Fortress of Solitude when thinking that a Superboy robot built by his father would replace him. As punishment, Superman removes all of his son's powers with a dose of Gold Kryptonite, which is permanent.
