  • Twice in this issue's first story, Clark notes that Lois has lost all of her previous interest in Superman, presumably referencing Lois' disillusionment with Superman starting in Action Comics #542. However, when Yellow Peri's spell nullifies their inhibitions, Lois almost consents to marrying Superman on the spot, though her jadedness with Superman's mission returns just as quickly.

Trivia

  • Coaltown, Pennsylvania is a substitute for the the real town of Centralia, Pennsylvania where an active underground coal mine fire forced the abandonment of the entire town.
