Synopsis for Green Lantern: "Room Service"
Arisia opens the door of his hotel room and the lunatic waiter jumps right in, swinging his knife to kill her. Arisia manages to defend herself, electrocuting him after he inserts his knife in the electrical outlet.
Hal Jordan takes both Arisia and the waiter, who's now conscious, to the police HQ. He finds detective Rensaleer in the dumpster at the back of the building, looking for the Mind Games' note he threw away.[1] The detective explains to Green Lantern that more cases of random people suddenly attacking anyone nearby were reported. Hal decides to help him find the note using his ring.
Back inside, Arisia meets Cynthia Gresham, who proposes her to work as a model in her agency.
Away from there, Mind Games activates his machine, and an energy beam gets shot to the sky.
Back in the dumpster, Green Lantern finds the note and gives it to detective Rensaleer. As the policeman walks away, Hal gets struck by Mind Games' ray and turns into a violent maniac about to kill Rensaleer.

Synopsis for Catwoman: "The Tin Roof Club, Part 1"
Selina Kyle, owner of "The Tin Roof Club", checks in on a group of Gotham City businessmen that are playing cards in the club's back room. All the talk is centered around the theft of an Egyptian Brooch from the "Gotham Museum of Fine Arts", an artifact which Selina, as Catwoman, may be the procurer of.
At the club a week later, Selina is visited by an old friend; Holly, who used to live with Selina in the East End before marrying a rich guy and moving to New Jersey. Selina presents Holly with a gift and tells her to not open it until Christmas. When Holly tells a Gotham cop named George Flannery about the gift, he becomes suspicious. Knowing about Selina's secret double life, Flannery questions her about the gift and asks if it is the stolen brooch. Selina says no, but later states George is "too close to the truth" and she fears he may get it in his head to search her office.
Selina makes plans to leave and go to Jersey and visit Holly, but before she can leave is threatened by her card playing businessmen. Selina is able to fight off the three men, but is stopped by Willie, her bartender, who points a gun at Selina and, seemingly, pulls the trigger.

Notes
- Crisis on Infinite Earths: The Compendium states this issue happened on Earth-85, presumably referencing the "Tin Roof Club" Catwoman arc. However, it cannot be determined if the other stories told in this issue that don't contradict larger continuity happened on New Earth, Earth-85, or both.
- "Beyond Mortal Men!" is reprinted in Superman: The Power Within.
