Synopsis for Green Lantern: "First Encounter"
The Freak Show has Green Lantern trapped in a Stasis Field, ready for the kill. Stasis turns the force field off so Incinderella can burn Green Lantern with her pyrokinetic powers. However, Hal reacts quickly and redirects the fire as soon as he gets free. He defeats all of them one by one, but when he's about to question them, Castle, who was watching from another roof, uses his powers to switch places with him and save his crew. When Hal gets his bearings after the teleportation, the Freak Show are gone. Hal fixes his costume and follows Rensaleer's clue to investigate Hawkes Industries.
Back at her apartment, Arisia receives a call from Cynthia, offering her a modelling job. Arisia rejects the offer, saying she'll leave Chicago.
At Hawkes Industries, Green Lantern meets the younger of the Hawkes sisters, Lillian. GL questions her about the presumed dead employees (Castle and Siphon) who attacked him. Lillian replies that she has no idea what he's talking about, but then she admits that her sister once discussed bio-engineering, but it was something she didn't want to get involved in, so they stuck with electronics. When Green Lantern asks her to let him talk to her sister, Veronica steps out of a door to meet him.

- In this Nightwing story, when Dick officially introduces Lian and Roy, he says, "Roy Harper, I'd like to formerly introduce you to your daughter...Lian!"
