Synopsis for Green Lantern: "Last Gasp!"
Inside the Hawkes Industries facility, the Freak Show revel on their victory as they stare at Green Lantern's incinerated corpse. However, it is a trick made with a fake corpse, and Green Lantern attacks them by surprise. Hal traps them and questions if Veronica is behind all of this, but they accuse Castle of being their leader and blackmailing the Hawkes, which he denies. He then escapes by quickly switching places with a security guard. He rushes to his boss' office, accusing her of setting him up. The boss, finally revealed as Lillian, shots and kills him, saying he was just a pawn in her game. When Green Lantern arrives at the scene, Lillian pretends to have been attacked by Castle and that she shot him in self-defense.
While the police takes care of the situation and process the criminals, Hal returns to his apartment, where he finds Arisia moving out of Chicago, away from him. Before leaving, Hal gives her a goodbye kiss in the forehead.
