Synopsis for "War of the Super Powers"
Superman pays a visit to Lex Luthor, who is wasting away. Lex reveals that his scientist Sydney Happersen created the clone called Bizarro in an effort to help cure his current illness. WLEX news reports that Bizarro has been spotted in Midway City, and Superman flies off immediately to find him.
In Midway City Bizarro is trying to "fix" a bridge that is separating in order to allow a boat to pass. He uses his heat vision to weld it shut as the police arrive, recognize that it isn't Superman and fire on him. Superman arrives, and knocks Bizarro for a loop with a powerful haymaker. The two bounce through the street, and finally land smack in the middle of Metropolis. Bizarro attacks, and the two begin to fight. As the two opponents brutalise each other, Superman notes the monster's increased strength and intelligence. Bizarro knocks Superman through a window and then a wall, and the two continue to pummel one another in the street again. Superman stuns Bizarro by slamming him into a wall, and takes the opportunity by launching Bizarro into space in order to limit the damage to the city. However, Superman must hold a parking garage together before it collapses.
Meanwhile in Smallville, Lana Lang contemplates her life with Pete Ross, their engagement, and her potential feelings for Clark. Bizarro arrives, and kidnaps her, hoisting her car over his head and flying away, with her inside. Superman tracks him there and the two begin to fight again. They both bash each other over and over with debris from the area around them, and Superman finally tires the creature out enough to deliver a power full punch, knocking out the cloned creature, and he proceeds to carry him off. Lana decides that she could never have a normal life with Clark, and calls Pete Ross to marry him as soon as possible.
