Synopsis for "Path of Doom, Part Four"

Mr. Oz watches the unfolding of recent events from his secret base: Superman's fight with Doomsday, Lois and Jon watching the fight at home and the appearance of a human Clark Kent. On the ruins of downtown Metropolis, Clark is about to be killed by Doomsday until he is saved by the timely intervention of Wonder Woman. As she brings him to save him, Wonder Woman sees his injured arm, proving he is not the Superman she knew. Meanwhile, Superman keeps Doomsday distracted with a series of super-fast punches, with Wonder Woman joining the fight as well. Although this Superman is not the Superman she knows either, at the very least she is glad a Superman is alive and kicking.

Back in the Kent household, Jon cheers for his father, unintentionally releasing a sonic scream that shatters the house's windows. Doomsday detects Jon's Kryptonian genome all the way from the Kent farm, causing him to make his way out of the city. Superman and Wonder Woman attempt to find Doomsday to no avail, and Lex comes asking what do Superman and Wonder Woman know about Doomsday. Superman reveals Doomsday's origins: he was a genetically engineered entity created in Krypton's ancient past by a scientist who wanted to create the ultimate lifeform. For decades, the scientist forced the child to survive in Krypton's harsh primitive environment, where he would be killed by savage beasts. The scientist took the child's remains and cloned him to repeat the procedure from decades. The constant deaths and resurrections left Doomsday scarred with a pathological hatred for all life, Kryptonian life in particular. Unfortunately, since Doomsday can detect Kryptonians, this means he will target Jon as well; so Superman goes home to protect his family. Wonder Woman follows him, but not before telling Lex to protect Metropolis

The Kents' TV still gets a signal, and the news broadcast reports Doomsday is leaving Metropolis. Worried that Doomsday might come after them, Lois tries to take Jon far away as she can from Doomsday. Fortunately, Superman and Wonder Woman catch up to them. Lois and Jon take the opportunity to get acquainted with Wonder Woman, who then takes the opportunity to intercept Doomsday. This gives Superman time to comfort his family and tell them to escape, as Doomsday is already fighting Wonder Woman.
