Action Comics #978 is an issue of the series Action Comics (Volume 1) with a cover date of June, 2017. It was published on April 26, 2017.
Synopsis for "The New World, Part 2"
Superman (Pre-Flashpoint) keeps reviewing his memories in the Fortress to find possible discrepancies. His history has indeed changed, but he is not aware of it: in the new reality, his parents died before he met Lois, he never dated Wonder Woman, Batman and Wonder Woman helped deliver Jon, they moved to California and kept to the shadows for a while. He doesn't even remember he was split and merged again, or Convergence or the existence of the Post-Flashpoint Superman.
All of sudden, Mister Oz appears before Superman and warns that he is dealing with forces beyond him before blasting him away and vanishing again. Seeing an hologram of the Super-Family (Supergirl, Superwoman, Steel...), Superman guesses something is threatening all of them and flies out of the Fortress.
Meanwhile the identity of the being who has been recruiting super-villains is revealed. He is Hank Henshaw. And he is forming a Superman Revenge Squad.

Notes
- When Superman talked to Supergirl in Supergirl (Volume 7) #8 he still remembered that someone had split his essence and created two Supermen.
- As in this issue he has forgotten about it entirely (which may be due to the adjustment of the timeline), this implies that that story takes place before these last two issues.
- The Oracle and Blanque's appearance as well as the fight against Ulysses in the flashback sequence confirm that many events of The New 52 continuity still happened.
Trivia
- In the Pre-Flashpoint universe, Pa Kent died during the events of Superman: Brainiac. In the new continuity, the Kents died when Clark was young and they never met Lois.
- Jonathan and Martha Kent's deaths will be later explained in Doomsday Clock #10.
- In the old continuity, Jonathan Samuel Kent was delivered by Thomas Wayne during the events of Convergence. In the new continuity, he was delivered by Wonder Woman and Batman in the Fortress of Solitude.
