Noel Neill (b. November 25, 1920 - d. July 3, 2016) has portrayed many DC related characters, most notably Lois Lane in the Columbia serials Superman and Atom Man vs. Superman. In 1953, Noel replaced Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane on the series Adventures of Superman after its first season. Noel made a brief, uncredited cameo in the film Superman as Ella Lane. In 1991 she portrayed Alexis in the episode "Paranoia" of the series Superboy. In 2006 she portrayed Gertrude Vanderworth, the dying widow seduced by Lex Luthor, in the film Superman Returns.
