Quote1 Having that ring was all I ever wanted. The only thing that mattered in my life... and I lost it. Quote2
Adara src

Adara was a member of the Green Lantern Corps.

Green Lantern Corps

Adara survived the dismantling of the corps by Parallax during Emerald Twilight.[1] Engaged in a space battle with Corellian Privateers at the time, she was captured when her ring went powerless, and tortured nearly to death before she escaped and shot her way out with a laser pistol. Still, she felt lost with her responsibilities as a Lantern taken from her, as it had been her entire life.

Adara felt hope when she ran into the last surviving Green Lantern, Kyle Rayner. After stealing his ring while he was asleep, she discovered it wouldn't work for her, and realized she could never be a Green Lantern again. As Kyle walked away, she killed herself using her blaster.[2]

Shortly after, an unknown power brought the dead back to life, and Nekron, the Lord of the Unliving, seized the opportunity to take control of the undead Green Lanterns to attack Kyle Rayner. Adara was one of the reanimated Lanterns, but Kyle killed them all again, setting them free form Nekron's control.[3]

Later, Adara was shown to be memorialized in the Crypts of the Green Lantern Corps on Oa.[4] During Blackest Night, she was resurrected as a member of the new Black Lantern Corps.[5]
