Adolf Hitler was the German leader of the Axis powers in Europe whom the United States had fought against during World War II.

History

After the war had ended, it was believed that Tex Thompson, the Americommando, was responsible for killing Hitler and was crowned a hero by the President. In reality, though, the Ultra-Humanite, who was posing as Tex Thompson after taking over his body, had Adolf Hitler's brain taken out of his body, which was left behind in a bunker and made to look like he was killed, and transferred into the body of a test subject that would become America's first superhero for the atomic age. The test subject turned out to be Daniel Dunbar, who as Dan the Dyna-Mite already possessed some superpowers earlier on with his former partner TNT, and through the nuclear test was given additional abilities that made him into Dynaman. As Dynaman, Hitler would help the Ultra-Humanite pursue the goal of becoming the President of the United States with the intent of ruling the world. Very few knew the truth about who Thompson and Dynaman really were until Joan Dale (Miss America) had shown Thompson's diary to Lance Gallant (Captain Triumph) and Paula Brooks (Tigress), who then contacted Johnny Chambers (Johnny Quick) about the revelation.

At a rally in Washington, D.C. in 1950 where all costumed superheroes were to appear by Presidential decree to show their loyalty, Joan Dale publicly exposed Tex Thompson as being the Ultra-Humanite and attempted to also expose Dynaman as being Adolf Hitler in Daniel Dunbar's body when the Ultra-Humanite had Robert Crane (Robotman) silence her by murdering her in public. Rex Tyler (Hourman) took over for Joan Dale in the exposure of both Thompson and Dunbar, causing Dynaman to show his true colors and to attack the various superheroes present. As Dynaman, Hitler was simply too powerful for most of the gathered heroes to stop, but was eventually weakened by Alan Scott who showed up as Green Lantern to deliver powerful energy ring-enhanced blows until Dynaman felled him with a tree. In his weakened state, Libby Lawrence (Liberty Belle) took a piece of Ted Knight's (Starman) broken cosmic rod and jammed it through Dynaman's body, electrocuting him to death.
