Adrian Sterling was a former flame of Jonah Hex.
History
Adrian Sterling grew up on a lavish southern plantation in New Orleans, Louisiana, during the latter half of the 19th century. During that time, she met and fell in love with the infamous bounty hunter known as Jonah Hex.[1][2][3] Although she pleaded with Jonah to remain in New Orleans with her, the gruff gunslinger confessed that he could never acclimate to a lifestyle of Southern gentility.[4]
A short time later she attempted to reconnect with Hex, but unfortunate circunstances led to her losing her memory and being led to the mistaken belief that her name was 'Temple Starr. Using that name, she worked as hostess in a saloon named "Diamond Horseshoe".[5] When last seen, she had not recovered her memory.

- This version of Adrian Sterling, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–1986 crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the 2022-2023 crossover event Dark Crisis. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
