Synopsis for Legion of Super-Heroes: "Hunters of the Super-Beasts"
When animals on the planet Vorm seemingly develop an intelligence, the Legion of Super-Heroes is called in to investigate what's going on. They soon deduce that the only super-being they know that would have this capability is Beast Boy one of the Heroes of Lallor. Traveling to that planet, Superboy learns from the Heroes of Lallor that Beast Boy left their world after he became an outcast and a loner due to his treatment by the people of Lallor.
While on Vorm, the Legion tracks down Beast Boy, who tries to escape them by disguising himself as a beast and allowing himself to be captured. However the Legion learns of this and track him to where he is shipped: The Metropolis Zoo. There they try to find Beast Boy, who tricks them with illusions before ultimately breaking himself and all the other creatures free. Disguising himself as a dog, Beast Boy befriends a little girl and sacrifices his life to save her from the Maw, a creature which Beast Boy was responsible for freeing. The Legion finds Beast Boy just as his body resumed it's human form, and mourn him for the hero he was in the end.

Synopsis for Superboy: "The Night of March 31st!"
This story is reprinted from Superman #145.
In this imaginary tale all sorts of crazy things happen to Superman during the day, from Supergirl revealing herself in public and being able to breathe fire, to Lori Lemuris having human legs, Lois having tea with Mr. Mxyzptlk, and Lana Lang trying to kill Superman with Kryptonite. When Luthor, Bizarro, and Brainiac come to his rescue, they all reveal that they know that Superman is really Clark Kent. When Superman asks them how they could know, they reveal that they read Superman comic books. Shocked by this revelation, Superman falls over backwards and smashes the bottle city of Kandor to bits.
At the end of the story, the reader is told that the story began on the night of March 31st, so the action took place the next day on April 1st, also known as April Fool's Day. The story was intentionally filled with errors in artwork, letter, coloring and plot. Readers were challenged to enter the "Great Superman Boo Boo Contest" by sending in a list of the errors that they found.

Trivia
- The reprint of "The Night of March 31st!" introduces a coloration error that damaged one of the intentional "goofs" in the story: on the third page, panel 1, Superman's right sleeve is supposed to be a white, cuffed shirt sleeve, like he might wear as Clark Kent (confirmed by the answer sheet included in this issue) but this was recolored blue by mistake, making it much harder to spot.
