Synopsis for Hour-Man: "The Kidnapping of a Minute-Man"

The parents of Rodney Morvan force him to resign from the Minute Men of America. A short time later Rodney is kidnapped, by Ricky Maffiri's gang. Jimmy Martin calls Hourman for help. He tries to reason with Mr. Morvan, the banker, who refuses to pay Rodney's ransom. Hourman and the Minute Men help track down the crooks, who kidnap Mr. Morvan after he didn't pay the ransom. Hourman finds Rodney, but the crooks surprise him and take him prisoner. Using his radio, Hour-Man contacts Jimmy and gets him to bring a supply of Miraclo. Hourman frees himself and the Morvans, then he and the Minute Men capture the crooks. After seeing Hourman and the Minute Men in action, Mr. Morvan allows Rodney to rejoin the club.

Synopsis for The Sandman: "Case of the Kidnapped Heiress"

Heiress Nana Martin is kidnapped by a man seeking to marry her and gain her inheritance. Sandman and Dian Belmont rescue her, but while Sandman battles the original kidnapper, two more villains nab Dian and Nana. Sandman contacts Dian's father the D.A., who allows him to help get Dian back. Working with officer Jim Holt, the Sandman apprehends the kidnappers and forces them to reveal where the girls are held. Holt and Nana then get married.

  • Dian Belmont is kidnapped for the 2nd time in this issue's story. Her first abduction was in World's Fair Comics #2.
  • Effective this issue, Sandman is now no longer hunted by the police.
