Synopsis for Genius Jones: "Genius Jones Broadcasting"

Genius Jones the Answer Man is approached by a radio station owner, Mr. Roger, with a misbehaving transmitter, and a dime. They jump into the Answermobile and proceed to the guy's inherited radio station. In one studio, famous opera soprano Madame High Cee is singing, but the broadcast monitors carry only distorted animalistic screeching. The news breaks are headlines from the Coolidge administration. The commercials warn consumers about their sponsors' horrible products. Jones takes a closer look.

Poking around the station he finds a bootleg broadcast control room, with half a dozen dogs and cats, two broadcast engineers, a switchboard, and Mr. Roger's disinherited, scheming cousin, Jack Cranker, busily sabotaging the station's broadcast, with the aim of driving Roger out of the radio business. But who has caught whom? Jones is head-konked unconscious, trussed up, and tossed in a cage with the sound-effect dogs, while the crooked broadcasters start sending out correct answers to that day's quiz show. Jones ingeniously uses a record-player's turntable to unspin the knots in his bonds, and escapes, then repurposes the turntable to fling vinyl records in almost every direction, creating chaos in the small room. But he soon runs out of records, but the loose dogs and cats keep up the turmoil long enough for Mr. Roger to arrive with some police.

In gratitude, station WOW awards Genius Jones with a television-police-alarm radio, filled with gum drops.
