Synopsis for "Heritage"

Motivated by Superman's defiance against Mongul's rule, the people of Warworld rise in a revolt. The council contemplates the idea of replacing Mongul and place Superman as their leader.

Superman wakes up in Cleric's refuge. There he learns about the Eradicator, a gadget made to protect Krypton's heritage. Superman is doubtful about opening up to the Eradicator's knowledge because of the guilt and shame he feels. The Cleric tells him that the gadget will help him atone for his guilt, as it helped him. So Superman opens himself to it, and he is filled with the determination to return to Warworld.

The Cellkeeper finds Mongul has killed Lentra. Draaga appears and challenges the tyrant to a duel for the throne of Warworld. After almost being killed by Draaga, Mongul escapes.

Meanwhile, on Metropolis, Matrix is still impersonating Clark Kent at the Daily Planet, and his strange behaviors confuse his coworkers, including Perry and Lois Lane. Cat Grant appears and tells Lois she was the source of Clark's articles about Intergang.
