Quote1 Look around, and you'll see that some of us are not so well off. Some have no jobs to grouse about. Some do not have enough to eat. Others sleep huddled in doorways or over gratings, using copies of this paper to keep warm. These unfortunates are our brothers and sisters. But all too often we look away as they pass. It's about time we stopped doing that. Quote2

Adventures of Superman #462 is an issue of the series Adventures of Superman (Volume 1) with a cover date of January, 1990.

Synopsis for "Home For the Holidays!"

During the Christmas season, the employees at the Daily Planet organize a surprise farewell party for Clark Kent, organized by Alice. The words of his co-workers make it hard for Kent to say goodbye, so he walks through the hallways, reminiscing of his time at the Planet. He suddenly finds Alice crying in the storeroom and she confesses she's been living there for three years after the death of her mother.

Moved by her story, Perry White decides to run an editorial and add an article on page one reminding the people of Metropolis to take care of the homeless and help them in any way they can. And not only that, he invites Alice to spend Christmas with his wife and welcomes her to stay at their department until she can afford a place to live on her own.

Meanwhile, Superman spends Christmas night with his parents and Lana Lang in Smallville.
