Adventures of Superman #468 is an issue of the series Adventures of Superman (Volume 1) with a cover date of July, 1990.

Synopsis for "The Outcast"

A few weeks after his apparent death, the late Hank Henshaw mutates into a being of pure electronic energy and is disrupting electronics and communications across the Atlantic Coast. Hank creates a mechanical body made of electronic parts and visits his wife in a NASA tracking facility outside Metropolis. Superman traces the source of the disruption and confronts the robot, discovering it's Hank Henshaw. He wants to be with his wife again, but his presence left her in a catatonic state.

Realizing he put people's lives in danger and harmed the woman he loves, Hank's energy leaves the scene and attaches to the Kryptonian Matrix chamber Superman left floating in Earth's orbit. With no other purpose to stay on Earth, Hank crafts a small rocket and flies off to space to learn about the universe.
