Synopsis for "Clark Kent -- Man of Steel!"
After losing his powers,[1] Superman asks Emil Hamilton for help. Unable to find any explanation for his lack of superpowers, Hamilton gives Superman a force field belt and a fabric weight bullet-proof vest to help him fight Mammoth. Unfortunately, his belt is quickly broken by Mammoth's attacks, and Superman is defenseless against him, but he doesn't let him notice his vulnerability, and, displaying his fearlessness, the former man of steel convinces Mammoth to give up and turn himself over to the Metropolis Special Crimes Unit.
After the fight, Superman, in his apartment, admits he needs help. He calls S.T.A.R. Labs in Phoenix and asks Will Payton, Starman, for assistance.
