Synopsis for Time and Time Again: "Phase Four: Death Rekindled"

Superman appears again in the 30th Century, though this time with a later roster of Legion of Superheroes team members, with Lightning Lad the only core member present. They now have to deal with a new Sun Eater that's making its way through the universe, and the planet Superman arrived on was a recent victim of the cosmic entity's appetite for stars. They connect with each other after the Legion fails in their first attempt to destroy the Sun Eater, and with a new strategy that requires Wild Fire sacrificing his containment suit and Shrinking Violet turning the suit into a destructive bomb, Superman and the Legion succeed, but it also results in him disappearing into time again.
