Synopsis for "Falling Apart"

Superman is still trapped in this twisted version of Earth in which he killed all his villains, and Jimmy Olsen confronts him with Green Kryptonite to get revenge for killing Lois. Superman, weakened by the Kryptonite, is even more confused due to the fact that Lois's death took place just a few minutes ago. He struggles to stay alive, but the radiation finally makes him fall unconscious.

When Superman wakes up, he finds the city of Metropolis destroyed. Among the wreckage of the Daily Planet, he finds a critically injured Booster Gold, who blames him for all the destruction, and dies. Superman flies to the sky, with a turmoil of emotions and desperate to find a survivor to ask questions. He notices a standing man at a distance, but it turns out to be just a skeleton, with a radio on its side. Superman tries to find a signal on the radio and is startled by a man calling himself Houston communicating with him, adding to Superman's confusion. While he struggles to talk to the stereo, Guy Gardner and Martian Manhunter show up and attack him. Superman tries to reason with them, but they also are convinced he destroyed the city. Defending himself from their attacks, Superman loses control of his strength, killing both heroes. J'onn whispers something about the moon and a "red glass" before dying, but none of this makes sense to Superman. He starts to believe that all of this is real and that someone controlled him to cross the line and destroy everything he ever tried to protect. As he laments for his actions, the army appears, rounding him up and ready to fire at him with heavy artillery.
