Adventures of Superman #515 is an issue of the series Adventures of Superman (Volume 1) with a cover date of August, 1994.
Synopsis for "Massacre in Metropolis!"
The battle between the cosmic killer Massacre and Superman continues, causing much destruction. Eager to photograph the fight, Jimmy Olsen leaves Lucy Lane in the care of a group of female bystanders. These young women invite Lucy to join them in their (soon-to-be) band, the Riot Grrrls.
Superman gets the upper hand against Massacre, but then the villain's skimmer takes the cheering Lois Lane hostage at gunpoint. A blast from Massacre hits the bridge Lois, Jimmy and the Skimmer are standing on. As it crumbles, The Man of Steel flies off and catches both Lois and Jimmy, and carries them off to safety, as the bridge crashes down and on Skimmer. Superman pulls Skimmer from the rubble but he is gravely injured. Massacre claims that he wants to stop the battle so that he can find medical care for his faithful clean-up man. Superman agrees, and Massacre departs.
In space, Massacre, with his Skimmer floating away lifelessly behind him, is gleeful at having gained a worthy enemy in Superman.
